Martin Verhoeven
Director
"With 15 years in the construction field, I have built a strong foundation in the industry. My career began as a Quantity Surveyor, where I honed my skills for more than a decade. My extensive experience, from smaller private projects right through to larger commercial and government scale projects, has equipped me with a deep understanding of project management, cost control and adaptability.
Technical reliability and unwavering commitment to customer service ensures each project meets the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

In my spare time, I love working on a good project. Like Sarah, I also call myself a "maker", and enjoy tinkering with new techniques and experiments. I have an appreciation for the great outdoors, and we're always keen for new adventures!"
Sarah Verhoeven

"My background is Fine Arts, specialising in sculpture. After coming to New Zealand, I worked in a hardware store for a long while before I moved onto working in the trades. I installed kitchens, flooring, and revamped bathrooms. I then moved to work under the guidance of a cabinet maker, creating bespoke joinery and cabinetry. Martin and I then began Orca Contracting to create something of our own using our combined skills.
I have always been a maker - creating with my hands and my keen mind. Quality, attention to detail and project satisfaction is of utmost importance. I pride myself on my creativity, my technical abilities and my problem-solving skills."
